Kybernos is a business development consulting boutique focusing on governance constellations of multi-sided platforms, primary in the areas Regtech, Govtech and Insurtech. On the one hand our core competence as management consultants lies in these areas, on the other hand our special expertise in “multi stakeholder facilitation” and “collaborative innovation” processes in combination with neutrality between relevant peer groups, their incumbents and new stakeholders defines our competitive advantage. In our selection process, we favour clear business models and strong co-operation strategies between new players and incumbents.
What distinguishes us in our peer group is the fact that we really take on active management functions as a business development hub for our cluster companies and thereby assuming accountability for results. Enabling coopetition by defining first “primus inter pares” roles and at a later stage involve the followers of a peer group as well as stringently coordinating this process are the key concepts characterizing our approach.

Basic Beliefs
We believe that the race in the years to come is not innovative newcomers vs. incumbents. In our view the key challenge for both sides is to find ways of co-operation and co-existence between fast moving new players and well established corporations with a strong customer base.
We see a lot of “cross fertilization” potential between Insurtech, Regtech and Govtech. Digitalization is an interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary issue. We believe that the companies making pace in Insurtech, Regtech and Govtech 10 years from now are still at an early stage today or have not even been founded.
